About the Organizer
Laura Cambridge is a Professional Organizer and the owner of
Dynamic Organizing which was established in 2001. She is a member of
NAPO National and an active member of NAPO-WDC Metro Area Chapter.
Laura's History
Laura has been organizing all her life and she credits her innate skills to
her extremely organized father. To this day, he always has, whatever the
family needs, at his fingertips. The part, toy, map or whatnot is always
retrieved from some labeled container, neatly on a shelf or in a cabinet
somewhere in the house. He knows exactly where it all is and can find it
within seconds. Laura was and still is amazed about her father's
organization , but it was from him that she learned the value and skills of
being organized.
Another important lesson Laura has learned is that there are different
styles of organizing. For example, her mother, who is a fine artist, has
always had trouble with traditional organizing systems. Systems that put
things out of sight often meant out-of-mind for her. Laura learned that
many creative people are considered to be more right-brained thinkers
and visual people and therefore an organizing system should be set up
to reflect those needs.
Business Background
Laura draws her strong business background from working in two family
owned businesses. She did everything from management to
bookkeeping to inventory control and ordering. In addition to working in
family businesses, Laura is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
and has worked in Corporate-America providing computer technical
support.
Training & Education in Professional Organizing
Attends regular meetings of NAPO-WDC where members are
educated in the techniques of organizing and in their adaptation
to the different learning styles clients.
Attendee of NAPO-WDC Metro Area Chapter's annual Spring Seminar,
2001-2006.
Attendee of 2006 NAPO National's annual conference.
Smead Organizing University: completed online course "Make
Your Case: Tools & Strategies For Presentations That Work".
